New ePhoto Pro Studio Lighting Kit

Almost every Oliviatech video shot in studio are using these affordable lighting kits. We still use the same kit today that we purchased over one year ago. You can see an early infinite white video tutorial done with these lights (here). Just recently this lighting kit has been updated with an easier to assemble deeper softbox along with larger CFL bulbs for more light output. The head unit is still mostly plastic but seems to have a better build quality than our original kit purchased over one year ago.

Keep in mind that we don’t travel with these lights. They are great for in studio use, but are tedious to break down and setup with all of the pieces involved. They are also not battery powered which makes them less suitable to be used when traveling to remote locations. There are similar sets which you might find like the ones from CowboyStudio (seen here), but they do not offer the same type of large bulbs, softbox, and possibly they are still selling the older head unit. We suggest going with this ePhoto brand and not the CowboyStudio kits.

The kit comes with 5 bulbs for each head unit, softboxes with double diffuser panels, 3 light stands, and a carry case. The light stands that come with the kit can support the light, but you may want to upgrade if you need more than 6ft of height.
